Poems

Roses are red
Violets are blue
This section’s for
The poet in you.
The one that likes structure
And words that rhyme tight,
For when it’s well done
It feels done right.
So read if you like,
If you don’t, let it be,
For really these verses…

I write them for me.

And I also write them as Christmas presents for my family members when I’m feeling particularly poverty stricken around the holidays, but that doesn’t fit the rhyme scheme. All poems are listed below and/or on the right depending on your screen width.

Please note: as a general rule I don’t tackle politics or religion in my fiction or on my blog, as I don’t wish to alienate anyone who is here to be entertained and not preached at. That said, you’ve found my sanctuary for exceptions as tackling difficult subjects in a strict format is a neat way to say what you mean in a very memorable and succinct way. In short, some of these are strictly silly, a lot of them assume a belief in the Triune God (as laid out in the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds), and at least one of them is unabashedly politically conservative.
